An invoice is a legal document. Even in its simplest form, it needs to identify the seller, the buyer, the work or goods supplied, the amount owed, and the date by which payment is expected. Getting those basics right builds trust with clients and keeps your records clean.
INV-2026-0001.Currencies are identified by a three-letter ISO 4217 code — USD, EUR, GBP, INR, JPY, and so on. The code is what really matters; the symbol is a convenience for the reader. This tool supports more than 20 major currencies, and formatting is handled by your browser's built-in internationalization API, so numbers are grouped and decimal separators follow the conventions of your locale. For a currency not in the list, you can enter any three-letter ISO code manually.
Tax rules vary widely. In the EU, most invoices must show a VAT number and follow specific VAT rules; in India, GST applies; in the US, sales tax applies in many states but not all. Because of this, a general-purpose invoice generator should not try to enforce any one country's rules. Instead, it should let you set the tax label and rate yourself — which is exactly what this tool does.
This invoice generator is part of the TempScript free online tools collection. It runs entirely in your browser, requires no account, and never sends your data anywhere.
