Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

TempScript is a free collection of browser-based utility tools. It is operated by a small, independent team dedicated to building fast, private, no-nonsense tools for everyday tasks. You can browse, use, and share any tool without creating an account.

Because we do not operate a login system, we do not maintain user profiles. There is no dashboard, no subscription, and no personal account associated with your use of the site.

2. What information we collect

We collect as little as possible. In practice, this means two things:

Technical server logs

Like almost every website, our hosting provider records basic technical information whenever a page is requested. These logs typically include:

• Your IP address
• The date and time of your visit
• The page or file you requested
• The browser and operating system you are using
• The referring page, if there was one

These logs are used only for security monitoring, abuse prevention, and ensuring the site loads correctly. They are not used for advertising or profiling, and they are not linked to your identity.

Information you do not give us

Because TempScript has no signup or login, we do not collect:

• Your name, email address, or postal address
• Your phone number
• Any password
• Payment information (all tools are free and there is nothing to buy)

3. How our tools process your data

Every tool on TempScript is designed to run entirely inside your browser. That means your text, files and data are handled on your own device using native browser APIs such as Canvas, FileReader, Web Crypto, SpeechSynthesis and WebAssembly.

To be specific about what this means in practice:

• PDFs are read, merged, compressed, locked or converted locally using in-browser libraries. They are never uploaded.
• Images are drawn to a canvas on your device and re-encoded by your browser. They are never uploaded.
• Audio and video are decoded in memory and trimmed or converted locally. They are never uploaded.
• Text you paste into any tool stays in the page. It is not sent to a server for processing.
• Passwords and UUIDs are generated using the browser's cryptographically secure random number generator on your device.

4. Cookies and local storage

TempScript does not use cookies for advertising or tracking. We do not run third-party analytics or tracking scripts that follow you across other websites.

Some tools use your browser's local storage for two specific and limited purposes:

• Remembering a preference. For example, a dark mode toggle or an auto-save preference. This is stored on your device and never sent to us.
• Saving a draft on request. A few tools (like the resume builder and invoice generator) offer to save your work in your browser. This is always opt-in, stored on your device only, and can be cleared at any time.

You can clear local storage at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will remove any saved preferences and drafts but will not affect the site itself.

5. Third-party services

TempScript uses a small number of third-party services to deliver the site and its tools. Each of these services may see technical information (such as your IP address) as a natural part of loading a web page. We do not share any content you create or paste.

• Content delivery networks (CDNs). We load fonts, icons and some JavaScript libraries from public CDNs. These requests include the standard technical information any web request carries (IP address, browser type, page that referred the request).
• Our hosting provider. The site is served by a hosting provider that records the technical server logs described in section 2.

We do not integrate third-party advertising, social media trackers, or profiling analytics. There is no Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, or similar tracking on this site.

6. Children's privacy

TempScript is a general-purpose utility site suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent age in your jurisdiction), because we do not collect personal information at all. If a parent or guardian has concerns about a specific tool, they are welcome to contact us using the details below.

7. Your rights

Because we do not collect personal information, there is very little data to exercise rights over. That said, depending on where you live, you may have legal rights such as the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of personal data.

In practice:

• You control your own data. Everything you create with a TempScript tool is already on your device. Clearing your browser data removes it completely.
• You can ask us anything. If you would like confirmation of what we hold (which is essentially nothing beyond anonymous server logs), write to us and we will respond.
• You can complain to a regulator. If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are in California, you have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know and the right to delete. Because we do not collect or sell personal information, those rights are already satisfied by default.

8. Data security

The strongest protection we can offer is that your content never leaves your browser in the first place. Because tools run locally, there is no server-side database of your PDFs, images, audio, or text to be breached.

For the limited technical data that does pass through our hosting provider, we take standard precautions:

• The site is served over HTTPS, which encrypts traffic between your browser and the server.
• Server logs are retained for a short period for security purposes and are not linked to individual users.
• We do not run any backend service that accepts or stores user-uploaded files.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy occasionally to reflect changes in the tools we offer or in the law. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. If a change is significant, we will also add a short notice on the homepage for a reasonable period.

Because TempScript has no accounts, we cannot notify you by email. Checking this page occasionally is the best way to stay informed.
